E-dotes Classic

Loving yellow- this pop of lemon chiffon in the background of this reaching white tree is just my fave. And as always, dump on some paisley shaped leaves. I love this 12 x 12 canvas- a perfect addition to a gender neutral nursery! All parts of this design can be re-created in any color combination to suit your fancy. Every canvas by mares-e-dotes is original, and I'd love to create something custom for you. Presents for Paisley

A fluffy pink nigh-nigh for your darling little lady bundle! I sewed this adorable fabric onto the cozy blanket to add a fun, yet simple pop. I love how it turned out and hope to decorate more cute blankets in the future with my favorite fabrics. My cousin's cutie-pie baby, Paisley, was the recipient of these gifts.
I know full well the daily battle these pretty little burp cloths endure on the shoulder of a new parent! But as a mama, I also know full well the necessity for cute and beautiful wherever you can get it. And what is more appropriate not only for defending your favorite sweater, but for wiping the mouth of the tiny angel who had aimed to destroy that sweater just seconds before?! The cloths are organic cotton and can be adorned with any and every assortment of beautiful ribbons you can think of.

Circus Circus!

The Circus came to town! We threw a "Circus shower" to honor baby Henry and this is some art I did for decoration. This is actually water color and it is not painted on canvas. I was surprised after all these years that I enjoyed watercolor again, and this was really fun. We were going for a vintage look so I knew canvas wasn't my best option for the vision I had in my head. But really, elephants are so awesome- and this one entertaining in the circus tent is the reason they call it "The Greatest Show On Earth!" We just need to pop a super cool frame on this baby to finish the job.

Catch a wave!

I created this painting for my nephew's "surfer" theme bedroom- his initials are JG and he's been "making waves since '07". So fun to customize wherever possible. If only we all lived in Hawaii! Can't you just smell the plumeria?

Emo art for mares...

This piece is hung in my own home. We needed something huge to balance the dining room wall that would tie in with the attached living space in our small apartment. I really enjoy this style. I am always a fan of black and white, and gray is so "in" these days. With pops of yellow throughout, I am loving our new decor! One day I imagine hanging this mondo canvas on a bright, blood-red wall...wouldn't that be fantastic?!

Wall art to match your bedding!

Don't you just love a baby girl?! A dear friend had chosen some super sweet bedding for her new daughter and I created these flowers to tie the painting into her set. Also, the beautiful baby's name is "Ava" which means, "like a bird"- I just HAD to include a pretty little bird to honor her adorable name! The floral stems are textured with ribbon and the bird is made of fabric. Fun touches to add dimension- the type that is always better in person!

If one canvas wasn't cute enough...

Think how spicy things can get when you create a lovely 5 piece set?! As per request of one of my dearest friends, I made this sweet painting to match the rest of her little one's nursery. Pink and green are really too precious, and I love them here with the bright white tree trunk! I love when things are thrown off center- this one absolutely does the trick!

Chocolate brown with polka dots!

Sometimes, the simpler, the better. Chocolate brown is classic- add some polka dots, and we're talking almost too cute to display! Trees are my favorite to paint- and I almost always include paisley shaped leaves to adorn the beautiful branches. Fun designs that can take on any and every color.
